THE CULPRIT
QUESTION:
What caused two blown out tires (front and back)
three sleepless nights
many prayers
association with some really nice South Carolin-ians
the test of our patience
and
grateful hearts?
ANSWER:
The model of valve stem shown above
"Mitch" the Mechanic told us that they have destroyed all of the new valve stems that they bought! They do not want to jeopardize another person's safety.
They are going back to the old fashioned valve stems.
Two old fashioned valve stems now adorn Jason's new front and back tires!
THERE'S A LIKENESS FOR SURE
"Mitch" did everything he could to help us!

This historically significant park is the oldest and largest Woodland Indian site in the southeastern United States, occupied by Indians from 350 to 750 A.D. Georgia’s oldest great temple mound, standing 57 feet high, dominates two smaller burial mounds and several ceremonial mounds. The park’s museum is built around an excavated mound, providing an unusual setting for learning who these people were and how they lived. Inside, visitors will find numerous artifacts and a film.

Aka: Ben's Bike on this trip
THE BLINKER SAGA
Grandpa has spent the last several years reminding Grandma
to turn off her blinker after making a turn!
Please reference July 24th Blog which reads,
GRANDMA'S OBSERVATION
The blinkers (turn signals) on my bike are programmed to stay on for at least two miles past the turn! This is how they work and they have been doing it for well over 9,000 miles!
Now all the guys have been on Ben's case to turn off the blinkers after a turn!
Note:
The blinker light is located down on the tank
well below the view of the driver who is wearing a large full helmet
This morning Jase took off his tire (he is getting good at it) got on the "COW-A-SOCKY" and rode six (6) miles to our favorite LC's Cycle Repair to pick up valve stems that were appropriate for his bike
(the old fashioned kind)
Please note that this decision to get, yet another valve stem, was a result of midnight inspiration.
After returning from the shop, he admitted that
the blinker on the "COW-A-SOCKY" was on for the complete six (6) mile trip!
Grandma said,
"HAH!"
"SEE?"
