WE SAW THE RAIN COMING
BETWEEN CLAYTON AND RATON, NEW MEXICO
BUT DECIDED NOT TO STOP AND PUT OUR RAIN GEAR ON
BECAUSE WE WERE 45 MILES FROM OUR MOTEL
BUT WE HAD NO IDEA THAT IT WOULD LAST 20 MINUTES AND IT WOULD FEEL LIKE MARBLES HITTING US
AND THAT WE WOULD GET DRENCHED AND COULDN'T SEE THE ROAD
AND THAT THE TEMPERATURE WOULD DROP FORM
93 degree dry heat to 63 degrees cold heat in 2 seconds
AND THAT WE WOULD BE FREEZING!
BUT ONE GOOD THING HAPPENED......
ALL OF THOSE GRASSHOPPERS GOT WASHED OFF THE BIKE AND OFF BEN'S LEGS
INTENSE!
SUPER DOOPER CAR WASH!

JACK & JON ROUTINE
1. We pull up to the motel to check in.
2. Jack and Jon are off the bikes with suitcases in hand.
3. Once the key is issued that are off to the room like a shot!
4. They claim their corner of the room and change into swim trunks.
5. They are in the pool before we can leave the lobby, get back on our bikes and park them by our room.
