Departure: Anderson, South Carolina
Destination: Anderson, South Carolina
Miles: 59 (round trip)
BRAND NEW TIRES
FRONT AND BACK
INSTALLED FIRST THING THIS MORNING
BY OUR FRIENDS
AT
LC'S CYCLE REPAIR
BUSY FREEWAY
BUT WHEN THE VALVE STEM BLEW OUT
NO CARS OR SEMI TRUCKS WERE IN EITHER LANE OR BEHIND HIM
JASE AND JON
WERE HOLDING TIGHT
ANTICIPATING THAT THE BIKE WAS GOING DOWN
DOING FREEWAY SPEED
From the right lane he swung into the center lane trying to get control.
Then over to the right lane again carefully trying to slow down keeping the bike upright.
And then across all lanes to end up in the left lane medium.
BUT SOMEHOW....
JASE WAS ABLE TO KEEP THE BIKE UPRIGHT
AND SAFELY SLID INTO THE MEDIUM WITHOUT TIPPING OVER

Jase and Jon had safely come to a stop behind them on the freeway.
Ben and Grandpa heard the SOS and promptly took the closest exit back
(4) Four miles away.
Then they traveled (8) eight miles to next available exit.
Then (4) four miles to meet up with Jase and Jon.
They carefully rode their bikes into the opposite barrow pit to give assistant.
Thank goodness for the shade from the sweltering heat of South Carolina
Keeping ourselves busy with creative activities
Jase took notes the first time as "Mitch" took off the
BACK LUGGAGE
(Looked for some tools)
THE SEAT
(walked around looking for tools)
THE TIRE
(scratching his head looking for tools)
and everything else that needed to be done to get the tire off.
So when Mitch announced that he would do it in the morning (tomorrow.....Wednesday) and that the tire would be on and completed around Noon the next day......
Jase said,
"Naw! Let's do it now."
Mitch couldn't keep up with a "Man Possessed" AKA:Jason
The luggage compartments off
The seat off
The tire off
Repaired
And
Back on
In less than 30 Minutes!
(All tools in order, waiting and ready)
ALL IS WELL
