Any trip for me begins in the driveway! The adventure begins the moment we back out or in this case, pull forward.
I am headed to Rexburg, Idaho (546 miles) with my grandson, Jonathan. We will smell the desert sage brush and feel the heat - no need for a jacket this morning. St. George is 82 degrees at 6:30 am and rising - expected to reach 106 today. After about 300 miles of travel the desert scenery will make way for mountains covered in pines, cooler temperatures and slower city freeways. As we head over the Malad Pass we plan on antelope or maybe some deer encounters and we pray for overcast skies and no rain.
The trip around the USA will officially begin with my son after Sunday responsibilities are over. Monday evening will be the first entry from Glendive, Montana!
