ALL AROUND THE USA!

Are you ready to track our adventure?  All Around the USA!  I have an ID number, we have paid the fee and the maps are just about ready.  My oldest son and I are planning to conquer the USA FOUR CORNERS MOTORCYCLE TOUR 2014.  The tour is sponsored by the Southern California Motorcycling Association. We have paid the fee for "bragging rights" plus being accountable for the stops and miles traveled will validate our experience.  The adventure will begin July 18, 2014 - 11,000 miles in 21 days! Our first checkpoint will be Madawaska, Maine

About the USA FOUR CORNERS MOTORCYCLE TOUR 2014

For 32 years, riders have taken this exciting challenge.  Approximately 1500 people have completed the challenge.  Some riders have completed the Tour on multiple occasions. Fifteen hundred finishers sound like a lot, but the Tour only averages about 47 finishers per year. These are the rules:

  1. The four [4] check points are: San Ysidro, California; Blaine, Washington, Madawaska, Maine; Key West, Florida.
  2. Participants may visit the four official checkpoints in any sequence and by any route. Every checkpoint must be visited once.
  3. Time will be measured according to the time stamped on the gas receipts.
  4. The participant must e-mail or mail a completed proof of visit form, pictures with the registrant's numbered towel, motorcycle and gasoline receipts from each corner for every checkpoint. The gasoline receipt must contain the date, time, gas station location and be computer generated.

My goal is to enter information on my blog every day during our adventure. Watch for the following:

  • ROUTES: Start town, end town and in between towns
  • Miles/hours driven
  • Weather conditions
  • Great tips on restaurants and motels
  • Stories of people we meet
  • The funniest thing of the day
  • Our hardest challenge for the day
  • On occasion: Profoundness learned from my son or "My Brain Exploded"
