Day 1 Monday July 21: 653 miles from Rexburg, Idaho to Dickinson, Mt. through West Yellowstone, Bozeman, Billings, and Glendive, Mt.
PEOPLE WE MEET......
Meet Bert Gerhart - we traveled 653 miles to meet him and his dad, Randal Gerhart. So far, North Dakotians are our favorite people! Bert and his dad read our message on the back of our bikes and were so impressed with our goal that Randal told Bert to open his wallet and give us money for our supper! Randal is 74 years old, a retired banker and has been a life-time resident of North Dakota. We enjoyed a beef brisket dinner and pulled port dinner complete with berry pie at Perkins Restaurant in Dickinson, North Dakota courtesy of Bert and Randal. They wanted us to know how nice and friendly North Dakotians are. They hope that we meet good people in every state we visit. Awesome!
